Long shot
For the next 9 weeks i am doing the Performance part of the course and so far today we have learned that there are differences between acting on filming and acting on a film and acting on a stage. There are different camera angles like if you want it to look like you are talking to the audience it would be face on but if it was to look like you are talking to another person opposite you the it would be to the side. You don't have to have it looking at the persons face it could be a behind shot to show what the person is doing.Close up
A good thing about filming compared to acting on a stage is that you can have close ups to show different emotions with a little bit of moving where is on a stage you have to make sure that everyone even the people on the back row can see what you doing so they would have to do big movements to show how they are feeling.Emotions
When you are editing the shots you have done you would need to do it carefully like if in one shot they are looking down in the next shot you put on to it they would have to still be looking down otherwise it looks odd if it went from looking down to a totally different position. If you can see most or nearly all of someone's body this would be called a long shot if it is half a body shot then it would be called a middle shot and a eye shot is the shot producers would usually use to do filming.
We had a go after break at editing some shots this was quite tricky you had to get all the timing right for all the different shots then after we watched a few examples that other students had made about warnings. The first one was about drugs i think it was effective the way it started with him walking out of school it gets you guessing what is he going to do next and then the shots where its showing the effects of drugs on you the editing and effects made its feel realistic.
